Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, pastry, sauce, etc.) and ensuring high-quality preparation and presentation of dishes. This is a key role in maintaining the consistency and efficiency of kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a designated section of the kitchen and ensure all food preparation meets quality standards
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section
- Supervise and train commis chefs and junior staff
- Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards are followed at all times
- Collaborate with the sous chef and head chef on menu planning and development
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory control and ordering
- Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation practices
- Ensure dishes are prepared and delivered on time during service
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in a professional kitchen
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, techniques, and food safety standards
- Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Team player with good communication skills
- Passion for high-quality food and attention to detail
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
